Ann Jacobs, 94, of Moline, IL, died Friday, November 14, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. In accordance with her wishes, the body will be cremated. There will be no services at this time. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline. Ann Eafrate was born in Chicago Heights, IL, on February 17, 1914, to Benjamin and Christina (Pantano) Eafrate. Seventy-one years ago, on October 16, 1937, in Chicago Heights, she married Nelson P. Jacobs. With her husband, Nelson, Ann founded D & J Laundry in 1946, from which she retired in 1966. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Kings Daughters, and Oakwood Country Club. She enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling, and especially loved her family. In addition to her husband, Nelson, survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Jacobs of Bowling Green, KY, and Perry Jacobs of Moline; her twin sister, Mary Cole of South Carolina, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
