Angel Anthony Perez

Angel Perez, 17, of Moline, IL, died Monday, December 28, 2015, at UnityPoint-Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Services will be held Sunday, January 3rd, at 5:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a two-hour visitation prior to the services, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial bench in a local city park. Angel Anthony Perez was born in Silvis, IL, on October 15, 1998. He attended Seton School in Moline, and Moline High School. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline, and enjoyed hunting and being free. He mostly loved spending time with his Mom. He loved baseball, and watching his Aunt Monica play softball. Angel was a 4-year veteran of the Moline Boys Choir and the Boy Scouts. Survivors include his mother, Lee Ann Martinez of Moline; sisters, Naudia Martinez and Alisha Martinez, both of Moline; Mario Martinez of Moline, who was there for him from the day he was born; grandparents, Tim and Valerie Rumler of Moline, and Jeannie and Juan Raya; great-grandparents, Bob Martinez, Mary Ann Ryckeghem, and Mary Lee Rumler, all of Moline; an Uncle Ryan (Jackie) Rumler of Coal Valley, IL: an Aunt Monica Rumler of Miami, FL; great-aunts and -uncles, Bonnie and John Howard of Moline, Russ and Jody Ryckeghem of Cable, IL, Brett and Laura Rumler of Davenport, IA, and Lora and Mike Weber of Tulsa, OK; the whole Martinez family; and his “band of brothers”, Jordon, Jacob, and Khamyrei, he called “Fam”.
