Aimee L Anderson

Aimee Anderson, 94, of Sierra Vista, AZ, formerly of the Quad-Cities, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center in Sierra Vista, AZ. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 26th, at 1:00 p.m., with a 30-minute visitation preceeding the service, at First United Presbyterian Church, 801 - 16th Street, Moline, IL. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Arrangements are being handled by Wendt Funeral Home of Moline. Aimee L. Scott was born in Weldon, IA, on April 21, 1916, to Robert and Hazel (Randle) Scott, Sr. On February 26, 1937, in Moline, IL, she married Mauritz Anderson, who preceded her in death June 23, 1996. She was a homemaker, and was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, where she served as Financial Secretary, and for many years, was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of N.A.R.F.E, the Plus 60 Club, AARP, and did volunteer work at the East Moline State Hospital, and in many nursing homes. Aimee and her husband traveled extensively in the United States and overseas. Survivors include: two daughters: Glenda McKnight of Edwards, MS, and Elizabeth Severn of Hereford, AZ; a sister: Helen Iliff of Florida; a brother: Robert Scott of Moline; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, and a great-great-granddaughter.
